New Mobile Format

This morning while poking around in my Blogger Dashboard I saw that they now offer a mobile device viewing option, which I’ve enabled for both Survival & Emergency Preparedness and Blog O’Stuff. Hopefully, this will make both blogs more accessible to mobile users.

The Shooters' Bar Temporarily Offline

The server on which I was hosting The Shooters' Bar appears to have gotten zapped by lightning. The site will be offline until I make alternative arrangements.

Thank you

Thank you to those readers who have purchased stuff after clicking on a link to Amazon.com from this site. Every so often I get a gift certificate from them which helps on my own Amazon orders.

By no means am I making any significant amount of money from my Amazon affiliate links, but their gift certificates are a nice surprise when I do get them.

I'm Not Dead

Long time, no post.

While waiting for me to come up with something of interest for this site, you might be interested in my review of the Safepacker holster from The Wilderness, over on Survival and Emergency Preparedness.

Refocusing

I've decided to refocus my blogging efforts on this site, rather than maintaining separate blogs for Survival & Emergency Preparedness and Obama.  Separating them was an interesting experiment, but it'll be easier for me to manage one site instead of multiple blogs.  I won't delete the other sites, but for the foreseeable future, topics which may have appeared on them will instead appear right here.

Unlocked

Both this site and my Survival and Emergency Preparedness blog got caught up in the Blogger fake spam blog fiasco. Google unlocked this one sometime tonight, Survial Preps is still locked.

PITA.

Certificate Warning

I received the following note this morning from a reader:

Unable to verify the identity of wwww.Fred08.com as a trusted site.
Possible reasons for this error:
-Your browser does not recognize the Certificate Authority that
issued the site's certificate.
-The site's certificate is incomplete due to a server
misconfiguration.
-Your are connedted to a site pretending to be www.Fred08.com,
possibly to obtain your confidential information.
Please notify the site's webmaster about this problem.
Before accepting this certificate, you should examine this site's
certificate carefully. Are you willing to accept this certificate
for the purpose of identifying the Web site www.Fred08.com?

It's due to the link down there on the right for donating to Fred Thompson's campaign. If you don't accept the certificate, the only thing you'll be blocked from accessing is a way to donate to his campaign.

I'm With Fred

You may have also noticed the new links to I'm With Fred, Fred Thompson's new site for his incipient presidential campaign. Yes, I'm supporting him. The current crop of officially-declared Republican candidates don't include anyone I can support. Thompson should be formally entering the race soon. It's been evident for awhile that he's running. Imwithfred.com is another step in that direction.

Here is a site showing his voting record in the Senate.

On a side note, as you can see, I played around with this site's color scheme. It should be a bit easier to read now.

New Look

I'm taking advantage of some Blogger features, which required me to adopt a new template. A lot of the sidebar stuff will need to be rebuilt, so as I do that things will (seemingly) appear, vanish, or move around.

Please pardon things while I'm redoing this place and watch your head. :-D
